What brought you to Hippocrates?

I came to Hippocrates in June '08 to learn the lifestyle. I have been a Wannabe Vegan since I read Diet for A New America back in 1987. I have always eaten very clean, but continued to fall off the Vegan Wagon many times over the years. As well as par-taking in way too many soy lattes, chocolate chip cookies and basically nutritionally void foods. Now with all the knowledge I am learning at the Health Educators Program, I feel confident to be a Raw Vegan for Life. (fingers crossed)
Plus, Hippocrates brings in the coolest people you could ever meet! The people are open minded and awesome! Yay us!

I am still eating vegan and love it. I have got my dad eating the same way too. I miss the amazing variety of food at hippocrates!

I came at Hippocrates center for the 3-week program last April. I loved the experience. Learned a lot and still learning. Raw veganism is a world in itself. I can notice that you had your part of struggle with sweets. I think eliminating sugar and all sweets in our diet is quite a challenge. However, most of the battle starts in our mind. Wish you good success reaching your goals.

So I bought those kelp noodles and have been putting them on salads, etc. but it is getting really boring and I've stopped using them and I'm just looking at them in my frig. Do you know of any recipes or suggestions that could bring these noodles to life for me and maybe even get some into my kids?!!

Just wanted to say hi and see what you have been doing since completing the course. I am back at school at the Univeristy of Illinois for my senior year. I love the way I eat now. It is so much easier than people think. The typical question of " You're a vegan?? what do you eat?? do you not ever go out to eat?" cracks me up because its really pretty simple. I basically know what I am going to eat everyday so thats one less thing to worry about.
I am hoping to go back to Hippocrates for the health educator program this summer

I was doing some private chef & coaching a few months ago. The only places I know around here are Lisa's cafe at the Soma Center & When Vinnette does her Raw Food Underground, but I'm not sure she'll be doing it this season again. Thanks for starting up this site :)
