What brought you to Hippocrates?
I.ve been searching for a kind of life that would make me feel whole and happy. I love to read the magazine. It is so informative and encouraging. I am a very sporty person so it is important to stay healthy. I was training to do the Dublin Marathon and after a year found myself plagued by injury so I didnt get to take part. Im gutted so, now I need to look at different ways of keeping healthy and fit. I hope that I find the support I need in the friends that I will make on this website.

New to this

I would love to eat healthy good foods so, I could use a little help if anyone has recipes they love and would like to share them with me I would appreciate it a lot

Why do the Irish have such great smiles ? just eat plenty of fresh fruit, raw nuts and seeds, and leafy green salads and sprouts - lots of variety and different dressings to keep your diet interesting !!! less meat, potatoes, and dairy - if you're craving something warm - try herbal teas and warm raw soups - ps. have you seen any little green people lately ??? Hi Annie
Been trying to reply to you but kept losing the message when pressing the 'send' key - trying again today & using a different laptop, so here goes!
I know of two suppliers of wheatgrass in the UK - Aconbury Sprouts, Shrewsbury (also do sunflower & pea greens) & Brow Farm, near Runcorn. Minimum order with both is two trays & you can get part grown trays at various stages.
Aconbury are 'certified organic', Brow Farm's are organically grown but don't have the 'official stamp' as the farmer explained the politics to me when I visited a few weeks ago & will explain to you in more detail by e-mail or phone if you like!
Have you tried growing your own? I've done two trays so far & quite impressed I must say & waiting for a third, but the cold weather really makes a difference.
For info, if you're interested in the other greens, too, sunflowers are very delicate & fragile to transport & I have been having problems with boxes/trays being delivered tipped up & smashed up! The couriers are really careless with them & this is why Brow Farm won't supply them at all.
My e-mail is: annasawka@yahoo.co.uk, phone: 07946619307 or 01706622036.
